what a face [Sep. 10th, 2005|06:53 pm]

This is such a fugly picture of me. I don't know why they chose to post this on the internet. It's deliberate if you ask me. I mean, come on. I'm better looking than that. They definitely got my not-so-good angle.

1-0 to N. Ireland. Woo-hoo. *winces*

I'm back to corn rows now. Happy???

Okay I forgot what I'm to say here so I bid you all a good day.

Oh yes. Eric Djemba Djemba has left. I'll miss him. He's quite the character. He and Cristiano Ronaldo always make the dressing room laugh. Go figure. Both can't speak each other's language, but they always talk.

Isn't it ironic that we stopped keeping clean sheets the moment I was fit enough to play? Sometimes I question myself if I'm good enough to be playing for a club like Manchester United.

Another thing that has been bugging me is the ruckus about my hair. It's my hair, what do people care? I know, I sort of look silly, but I'd rather it be the talking point than my forgetfulness, to be honest.

Right [Nov. 7th, 2004|08:34 pm]
Been pretty hectic the past couple of weeks. I want to say hello to all the people on here. I can't fucking remember the last time I got laid because I was so busy either moping points lost from games, moping from the FA's blatant discrimination against either blacks or English - I just know they treated Mutu better, or just plain moping. I still feel the defeat against Portsmouth was my fault. I blame myself. Instead of me having a double celebration for being captain against Arsenal (that one we won - yes!) and Portsmouth, I..I.. I don't know what I was supposed to say I suddenly got hungry.

Okay I'm back. Just finished a tuna sandwich *wipes mouth with hand - very masculine, no?* Er, what was I supposed to say? Right. I should be going. I am due to be at Carrington in ohh 30 minutes. *slaps head* I forgot. I'm supposed to pick Keano up. Wish us luck against City. I may not be the captain anymore but who cares. I just wanna win.

p.s. a mate of mine talked about a place called "The Baths" - there's supposed to be one in Italy. I wonder if anyone "I know" have visited one.

Oh shit. I forgot. It's my birthday today. I just realised. No wonder my mum left a message saying happy birthday. I thought she was just joking.

wow, thank you [info]jaapstam

Stam backs Rio

By CARL LONG

JAAP STAM reckons England defender Rio Ferdinand will cruise through his World Cup week.

The Manchester United star faces his stiffest test since returning from his drugs ban in the two qualifiers against Wales and Azerbaijan.
But former Reds hero Stam, who was banned for four months after testing positive for drugs after leaving United, insists Rio can cope.

He said: “Rio is mentally strong — and training at United means he’s used to dealing with good forwards every day.”

AC Milan star Stam reckons the pain of missing so much football will make Ferdinand a better player.

He added: “I hated the fact I trained all week and then waved goodbye to my team-mates on Friday as they went off to play a game.

“It’s something Rio has gone through and he will know life outside the first-team is not nice.”
Thanks. I needed that boost for the game against Wales. Sure it's off the Sun but what the hell.

I read tabloids. It's my thing. Let it go.

I find it terribly amusing that from a 2 minute interview more than 10 articles have been made about me being captain in our last game. I carry my own recorder (Legal reasons. Plus I love the sound of my own voice.) and I don't remember saying I will be the next captain of Manchester United. It's not important. Whoever is the captain is the captain. I was captain of Leeds, that was a brilliant experience, but right now I just want to win more trophies for the club and for the manager who has showed a great deal of faith in me when I was going through my ban.

I find it terribly annoying that 3 out of 4 reporters would always ask the same question: "What did you think about Rooney's performance?"

At least I didn't make like a Ruud who during his interviews just said "fantastic" after every other sentence. He must have been hanging around Tim a lot. The bloke does say "fantastic" a lot.

I'm bored. I'm gonna go out and row some boats. And do the grocery. I've run out of shampoo. I better call Anton and ask how he's doing. Poor kid still cringes from that injury he got in the last U-21 game of England the scoreline of which, I have forgotten. Doh.

[edit]
I'm back now. Boats idea was batty. Went shopping then phoned Keano to ask how he is. He's doing well. He ribbed me a bit on the captain articles that have been coming out. Typical Roy. You woudln't think his house has just been firecracked by goons and that his wife is pregnant and could have had a miscarriage if she hadn't been careful. It's great to see my face on telly though. Sky Sports keep replaying my post match interview. I still look good but I need to eat more energy bars. My girlfriend (one of them anyway) sent me a text message. "You look like a string bean. A red string bean." Right.

[edit some more]
I'm really getting the hang of this editing thing, now aren't I? Got all clear from the gaffer, says we can go out tonight since training wouldn't resume until...ugh... fucking hell I forgot but I do know there's no training later (since it's in the wee hours of the morning now that I'm writing this) so me and some of the boys went clubbing. It's not as fun as it used to be. I think I am maturing. Who knows. I didn't drink anything. I am staying off of alcohol forever. Ever since my ban, I have had this need to prove to people that I don't take drugs, so why not take it to the next level? Staying off alcohol and such. Man talking with Keano and reading his book must have really taught me something then. I don't wanna be 30 and undergoing a hip operation that's for sure.

I am using my sister's computer at the moment. It was my birthday gift I think to her. Did I buy this one? I'm not sure. It's not important but anyway. She has daft taste in music. BOYZONE??? Anyroad. One song did stick out. I like it. It's fucking sappy but fuck it, I like it.

I see what he's doing to you
And it hurts me so
I wish I could steal you away but you
Just won't go

Something's holding you close to him
Something I can't see
But come the day that you've had enough
I pray you come running to me

Cos if you were mine
You know how good love could be
If you were mine
I'd love you eternally
If you were mine

Off to bed now. Big game on the weekend. McClaren gives us such a hard time. I hope Smithy plays. It'll be like a mini-Leeds reunion ha ha ha oh if only mills had stayed there I'd give him a piece of what's left of my mind.

Liam Miller has nice legs.

Oh dear.

One of my many girlfriends told me about having a dream of Cristiano. Sheesh even with birds I dont' escape that boy. Anyroad, she said he was crying and crying and crying and was calling out for his Mum and then I entered the scene. I sincerely hoped Ruud wasn't the Dad but lo and behold he was.

I'm not against adoption. I'm against the idea of a child having three parents with one not married to the other.

Carrington [Jul. 13th, 2004|03:53 am]
Carrington seems empty when not everyone is present. A good number of my team mates attended the first day of training but it's not the same when you keep expecting that someone to come when you know he's not but you still look at the door, hoping for a black Mercedes to arrive and a familiar figure steps out. But that didn't happen.

I'll be my old self again when I am back on that bloody pitch. I am tired of moping.

My best mate on the team, Wes Brown, was there though. He doesn't know about me and Ruud so I didn't dare tell him what was bovering me all this time. But fair play to the other lads. They thought my sadness had to do with the fact that I'm still banned, and they made sure I was okay. It was probably the only time I was grateful I was under such a situation.

Miller and me old boy Smith joined us today. Smiffy wasn't his usual self - not the cocky arrogant Yorkshire I used to know. I think he knows he still has something to prove before he can act like so. If he even begins to - act arrogant, I mean - he will face the wrath not only of Keano but of me as well.

I'm knackered. Felt great to be running around Carrington. Feels bad to know you're not playing in the Charity Shield.

And oh - they're also thinking of not including me in the USA tour altogether since I'm banned from playing. Damn it. I was looking forward to meeting up with Sandro.

Did I attend or did I not attend? I'll reveal more later.

I would like to apologise to Michael Ballack for forgetting to call him re: the master plan. So many things went through my mind. I found the cufflinks stuffed in the key drawer and my mind went blank.

All this fucking press about Ruud's wedding is doing my head in. I can't reach him, I can't talk to him, and when someone does answer his bloody mobile, it turns out to be that slag Leontien. The fag keeps sending me texts about his stupid cufflinks.

I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOUR CUFFLINKS ARE, IDIOT COME BACK HERE AND FIND IT YOURSELF!

I even have a hard time looking for my shoes and you want me to find your bloody cufflinks? Go buy new ones, you skint cunt!

I'm still not sure about attending his wedding. Half of me wants to crawl under a rock and pretend it never happened, half of me wants to see him in what would be the "happiest day of his life". He sure does confuse me. He had said that phrase 3 times now. When he scored his 100th goal, when he and I first slept together, and when he scored that hat trick against Scotland to send his country to the Euros. Leaving me behind when he knows I'm banned, selfish prick. I want to talk with Gaz - find out how he dealt with Becks marrying Victoria. But he's too talkative. The last thing I need is to read his opinion on my troubles on - SHIIIIIIITTT what was that paper he writes for again? ARGH! Never mind, I'm on edge. I need to do some shopping.

Ballack, Sandro, Guti, Pippo, anyone - what do I do?

Wait. I've got it. I'll buy myself a new car, drive to Carrington and box my brains off. Yeah that will work. It's a good thing some of the u-21 kids are training this early. I heard they signed a new one. Better get started one.

[edit]
They signed two? Oi vey.

eh... doh! [Jul. 7th, 2004|01:19 am]
Dear Mr. Ferdinand,

United were originally scheduled to face Liverpool on September 18, but the game has been moved back 48 hours to September 20, the date when your ban expires.

Manchester United, PLC

You know what's funny? They were meaning to tell me this for days now - but THEY FORGOT!!!!

Sigh. It's so hard to be a superstar.

Rio return a Sky high
Rio Ferdinand is set to make his Premiership return in front of an audience of millions. The Manchester United and England defender’s eight-month FA ban for missing a drug test ends on Monday, September 20. And that is the day United’s crunch with bitter rivals Liverpool will be screened live on Sky. The Old Trafford showdown was originally scheduled to take place 48 hours earlier. A Sky spokesman said: “It is a big-draw game and one we are always going to try to screen. But the placing of that Monday night fixture was complicated by the fact it is around the time of League Cup ties. It is pure coincidence, though, that we have gone for the particular game in which Rio may or may not play.”
Michael Morgan, The Sun

I is confused. Liverpool fixture, Gaz told me, was on the 18th of September????

Rio's road is following the Cantona way
Rio Ferdinand is poised to emulate Manchester United legend Eric Cantona by making his comeback from suspension in a live television blockbuster against Liverpool at Old Trafford. Sky have moved United's clash with their biggest rivals back 48 hours to Monday, September 20 - the day Ferdinand is free to play again following his eight-month ban for missing a drugs test.
Richard Tanner, Daily Express

I may be forgetful but I know I didn't say anything about making like a Cantona to anyone.

You know what would be great? If we get a clean sheet on my first game back, and I get to score a header. It's been ..... so long ... and I still haven't scored anything. Wes, Sheasy, and Gaz have been on my case ever since Sheasy netted that goal against Spurs.

So come on Ladbrokes, 25 September. Rio Ferdinand to score first. 2-0 to us, with the other goal scored by Baby Boy Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

Why am I so formal???????

Even on paper, Ruud and Ronaldo can't seem to get separated.

I think I should go out and celebrate John Terry having a bad tourney. Guess the #5 shirt is still mine. ALL MINE BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

I am back in England. It feels good to be back home. I was collected by my brother Anton who has been house sitting for me. Nothing out of the ordinary to natter on about. Just... tired I guess. Imma lie down a bit then hit the shops to get mself some new clothes. I'll be calling Gareth (Southgate) - I'm sure he'll be wanting to celebrate John Terry's bad tourney as well.

What is Rebecca still doing here I've broken up with her as far as I'm concerned. Oh shite - that's right. I still haven't told her we're through.
